Site Guidelines
Welcome to the Blue Valor RP forums. These forums are intended to provide players with a place to communicate, ask questions, submit reports and appeals, share suggestions, and stay involved with the community.
By using the forums, you agree to follow the guidelines below.
1. Respect Other Members
Treat other members with basic respect.
Harassment, targeted insults, excessive hostility, bullying, threats, or intentionally disruptive behavior are not permitted.
Disagreements are allowed. Turning every disagreement into a personal attack is not.
2. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Content that attacks, degrades, or targets individuals or groups based on protected characteristics is prohibited.
Slurs, discriminatory remarks, and content created primarily to provoke or demean others may result in immediate moderation action.
3. Keep Discussions Relevant
Post topics in the appropriate forum section and keep replies reasonably related to the original topic.
Repeatedly derailing threads, posting meaningless responses, or intentionally disrupting discussions may result in posts being removed.
4. No Spam or Post Farming
Do not spam posts, replies, reactions, images, links, or private messages.
Examples include:
Repeatedly posting the same content
Posting one-word or meaningless replies solely to increase post count
Creating duplicate threads
Excessive bumping
Mass-tagging members without a valid reason
5. Do Not Impersonate Others
Do not impersonate Blue Valor RP staff members, other community members, developers, or outside organizations.
Usernames, profile images, signatures, or posts intended to deliberately mislead others about your identity or authority are prohibited.
6. Protect Personal Information
Do not post another person's private or personally identifying information without their permission.
This includes addresses, phone numbers, private messages containing sensitive information, account credentials, IP addresses, or similar information.
Never post passwords, authentication tokens, Steam login information, or other account credentials.
7. No Malicious Content
Do not distribute or promote malware, malicious scripts, credential-stealing websites, exploits, denial-of-service tools, or other content intended to damage systems or compromise accounts.
Attempting to compromise the forums, game servers, staff systems, or another member's account may result in a permanent community ban.
8. Advertising and Promotion
Do not advertise unrelated Garry's Mod servers, gaming communities, Discord servers, websites, businesses, referral links, or services without staff approval.
Relevant community-created content may be shared where appropriate as long as it is not primarily unsolicited advertising.
9. Reports, Appeals, and Complaints
Reports and appeals should remain factual and focused on the incident being reviewed.
Do not harass the person involved, encourage others to attack them, or turn a report into a public argument.
Provide relevant evidence when available.
Knowingly submitting fabricated evidence, edited evidence intended to mislead staff, or deliberately false reports may result in disciplinary action.
10. Do Not Abuse Staff
Staff decisions may be questioned respectfully through the proper appeal or complaint process.
Do not repeatedly contact staff members, harass them through private messages, create multiple threads about the same decision, or attempt to pressure individual staff members into overturning another staff member's action.
11. Appropriate Content
Pornographic, sexually explicit, excessively graphic, or shock content is prohibited.
Content that is otherwise legal but clearly inappropriate for the community may also be removed at staff discretion.
12. Signatures, Avatars, and Profiles
Profile content must follow the same standards as forum posts.
Do not use excessively large, flashing, disruptive, offensive, or misleading signatures and profile images.
Staff may remove profile content that negatively affects forum usability.
13. Alternate Accounts
Using alternate accounts to evade moderation, bans, restrictions, or account sanctions is prohibited.
Accounts used for ban evasion may be permanently restricted along with the original account.
14. Forum Moderation
Forum staff may move, lock, edit, merge, or remove content when necessary to maintain organization, enforce community standards, or protect the community.
Not every possible form of disruptive behavior can be specifically listed in these guidelines. Staff may take action against conduct that clearly undermines the forums or community even if the exact behavior is not explicitly named above.
15. Enforcement
Violations may result in:
Verbal or written warnings
Post or thread removal
Temporary posting restrictions
Forum suspension
Permanent forum ban
Game server or community-wide disciplinary action for serious violations
The action taken will depend on the severity, frequency, and circumstances of the violation.
16. Use Common Sense
These guidelines are not intended to provide loopholes.
If something is clearly abusive, malicious, disruptive, dishonest, or harmful to the community, claiming that it was not specifically listed in the rules will not prevent moderation action.
Blue Valor RP reserves the right to update these Site Guidelines as the community grows and its needs change.
